This is a kit form Retro 1970's style Transistor Radio covering the standard AM Medium Wave Broadcast Band 530KHz to 1600KHz, supplied as a set of parts with an attractive Cherry Red and Cream two tone case.

The kit includes the electronic components, PCB, loudspeaker, knobs and radio case in a dark or cherry red. An ideal novelty present for someone starting out in the hobby electronics arena and a useful radio that could provide portable entertainment for years to come. Ideal to illustrate what music on the move was about before iPods and MP3 player phones! Radio Caroline may no longer be on Medium Wave but there are still many local and some national stations to be found and the fun of delicately tuning the radio in to each station is an almost forgotten skill for the younger generation, so why not treat someone to a slice of the past that they can make for themselves?

Full assembly instructions included and this kit does require soldering so a soldering iron and side cutters will be required for assembly. May be tested and aligned without the use of special test equipment. This radio measures a compact 124mm x 67mm x 27mm, so it slips into a pocket with ease.
